What a joyous day! The Lord IS risen!!! Wooo!!! Yes, I am shouting with joy, friends!
I love Easter because it is the fulfillment of not just a promise; it is God putting a period on His redemptive plan for humanity. GOD ALWAYS WINS. And in the Resurrection, he comes full circle.
What started in the Garden on Eden— sin’s curse— ends here with an exclamation point as Jesus, the only human that could, crushes the serpent’s head. Pulverized it. Satan thought he won at the garden. That from that moment on all humans would belong to him because sin had a hold on us. In his perverted mind he thought that no human would ever be sinless and unblemished.
But plot twist! God, made himself human in the form of Jesus— the only perfect human that would ever live— and delivered the ultimate check mate! At the cross, the precious blood of Christ washed us clean by taking on our debt. And with the Resurrection comes the promise of eternal life, if we follow Him.
Until that moment, we were lost and without any hope of redemption. But thanks to the Resurrection, we can become whole and clean in Him. Born again as children of God, should we choose to follow God. Y’all— this makes me so happy for all of us! I hope you are as excited about the enormity of this holiday, as I am!
